1st Beccles BrowniesChildren's Art and Craft Show
The closing date for entries for this year's first ever Children's Art and Craft Show is Sunday, October 7 at 12 noon.
The show is being organised by 1st Beccles Brownies to raise funds for the unit and also 2nd Beccles Rainbows, and has been postponed from August to the new date.
It will now take place on Sunday, October 14 at the Guide Hall, Common Lane, Beccles.
Entries of all art work will be received on the day from 9am - 10.30am with judging commencing in private from 10.45am.
The hall will be open to the public from 2pm - 4.30pm when you can see the display and enjoy an afternoon tea and tombola.
Entries are welcomed from all children aged 2-16 years. Entry fees are £1 per child and 20p per class.
There are small cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize in all classes.
Classes include painting, collage, photography, card making, baking, decorated handwriting , making a minature garden and even making a full sized bonfire guy!
Brown Owl, Caroline Carvosso said "We would love to receive lots of entries from all the children in Beccles. They don't have to have anything to do with Scouting or Guiding to be involved. Its a lovely way for children of any ability to show off their creative talents either by entering something they have made especially or it could be something that they have made at school. We really do need lots of Children to enter to make the show worthwile to run, to raise the funds that we need and to give a display for others to come and admire!"
