Queen's Head at Bramfield

Big weekend of celebration at the Queen's Head ~ Bramfield

A big weekend of live entertainment and special offers is being held this weekend Friday 23rd - Sunday 25th April to celebrate the Queen's Head being 1 of only 7 pubs in Suffolk to be featured in the newly published AA BRITAIN'S BEST PUBS 2010.

Amanda and Mark are delighted by the Queen's Head entry in this prestigious guide book by the well respected AA.

"During thirteen years here, Mark Corcoran has built a formidable reputation for high quality, home-made meals produced from local, often organic produce" - AA BRITAIN'S BEST PUBS 2010.

The BIG weekend kicks off on Friday 23rd April at 9pm with FREE live music by the talented ROBERT BROWN who is making his first visit to the Queen's Head.

With his unique style and presence Robert delivers a wealth of styles and emotions throughout the roots spectrum. His psychedelic folk-come-blues-come-jazz performances are unique yet accessible, eccentric yet consistent.

Throughout the whole weekend there is a very SPECIAL dining offer.

A massive £5.00 off "Emmerdale Farm" Darsham rib-eye steak served with salad, grilled tomato, local mushroom and a choice of chips or "Wakelyns Farm" organic potatoes for just £10.95

The Queen's Head has been serving "Emmerdale Farm" steaks for several years and they always receive rave reviews. Traditional breeds such as Suffolk Red Poll are raised on the nearby Darsham marshes and prepared at our fantastic village butcher K.W. Clarke on the Low Road, Bramfield. "Emmerdale Farm" Darsham also has its own farm shop and cafe which is well worth a visit.

Special Steak offer available lunch and dinner, Friday 23rd April - Sunday 25th April 2010.

Great for veggies too! - Vegetarians will not be forgotten with a selection of 5 delicious main courses.

Amanda's Magnificakes Prize Draw

15 delicious cup cakes freshly made to order and for collection from the Queen's Head any time in 2010. For a chance of winning, buy a ticket for just £1.00 each. Each and every penny will go to the Halesworth Community First Responders Scheme. A group of unpaid volunteers who are trained by the ambulance service to respond to 999 calls in the Halesworth area and provide vital first aid until the paramedic arrives.

All equipment such as de-defibrillators need to be supplied by the community. In 2009 the Queen's Head raised over £350 by donating 20p for every sale of a charity dish on the menu each day.
