Specialising in sympathy cards for pets
Having worked within the Veterinary Profession for 16 years, I know what a difference it makes and just how much client’s appreciate receiving a condolence card.
I have, therefore, combined my background knowledge along with my love for watercolour painting to produce an individual range of quality cards, which are exceptional value for money and are very different to others available within the veterinary market.
The cards are printed on a stylish textured surface measuring 140mm x 140mm, with envelopes provided.
They can be supplied with a simple verse inside or left blank for your own message or insert.

"A Welcome Card"

What better way to promote your practice than a simple, amusing card
showing your surgery details and assuring your clients of the friendly,
caring service they can expect when they bring their pets to you.
You can even have your surgery details printed on the inside or you
may prefer them left blank for your own personal message.

Galleon Storage and Mooring Limited
is leading the way in cutting down on pollutants entering the waterways.
is leading the way in cutting down on pollutants entering the waterways.
Galleon Storage & Mooring at Puddingmoor Beccles, has invested £500,000 in transforming a run down yard into one of the most state of the art and environmentally friendly yards on the Norfolk Broads.
Among its eco-friendly features is a unique decontamination facility, which removes toxic chemicals from hull wash water and bilge water. After the boats are washed down in a specially built bay the wash water is stored in a decontamination tank. It is then run though a WashTek filtration system and 98% of the pollutants are absorbed by cartridges before the clean water is returned to the river.
The American WashTek system is considered to be the most efficient equipment of its kind in the world and it can be mobilised to deal with oil and diesel spills. The Broads Authority's Sustainable Development Fund has contributed £12,500 to the project.
Conservation Officer, Andrea Kelly, who has worked closely with the yard, said: "This is an innovative boatyard development which has adopted very good practice in protecting the Broads from pollutants, and we hope other boatyards will be inspired by it."
The yard is also the first on the Broads to offer a 'dry stack' system of boat storage which does away with the need to antifoul boats. The yard is able to store boats up to 33 ft long out of the water, launching them when owners wish to use them, saving the cost of antifouling and the cost to the environment.
The yard also offers three EZdock pontoons for storing small boats out of the water. To add to the yard's environmental credentials the navigation lights marking the entrance from the River Waveney are solar powered.
Work to the yard has included dredging out and piling a yacht basin, building a slipway for the launch and recovery of 'trailer sailers' and secure facilities for storage of cars and trailers. There are also ten berths for boats either awaiting their owners or left ready for returning to the shore after use.
The man behind the venture, Mr William Bent, said: "We were concerned about a lot of antifouled boats being in a basin where there were no tides to sweep the pollutants away. Although I'm not obsessive about being green I think everyone should do their best to protect the environment.
I adopted the dry stack system because of the limited bankside moorings and slipways in the area. I wanted to provide a specialist facility which would enable people to bring their own boats to the Broads."
Mr William Bent toasts the success of Galleon Mooring and Storage with a glass of clean water.Galleon Storage and Mooring Limited

Everyone needs other people, but not everyone has someone. For people who become isolated because of poor health, disability or social disadvantage, a befriender can fill a big gap.
The aim of the service is to reduce isolation and promote independence by providing a range of support to socially isolated, housebound older people. Benefits to clients include better quality of life as well as improved all-round health. The service will support clients to follow their hobbies and interests, which is hoped will enhance their self confidence and independence and to decrease their sense of isolation.
What befrienders do depends on what a client needs; they provide the opportunity to have a cup of tea and a chat or play Scrabble and do a crossword. They may join sports activities, such as taking someone out and playing a round of golf. Go shopping, to a garden centre, or just sit and listen. The good thing a bout this service is that we can provide exactly what the clients needs. It is ideal for family carers to give them a break either for a few hours for the evening or a week.
The Service is available 7 days per week with the exception of bank holidays. A befriender can be arranged from a minimum of 1 hour to as often as you like. As a one off or on a regular basis. The beauty of this service is that we are here to assist with the needs of our clients. With direct payments from social services, individuals have the right to choose how to spend their money, so they can choose to use this service and help decrease their sense of isolation.
Before direct payments were introduced social services would only pay providers for personal care. People can refer themselves, or be referred by GP's or Social Services.

Bungay Taekwon-do Club competitors(and friends) at the GTUK British Individual Championships
held at Ryton Sports Conexion Coventry March 3rd 2012
See More photos here:
23 bleary eyed students from Bungay Taekwondo club left the home ground of Bungay High School at 5.30am on Saturday morning to travel to Coventry in order to compete in this year’s GTUK British Championships and it was well worth the early start, with 5 new British Champions and 16 other medals awarded in a drama packed day.
Callum Read won the junior sparring whilst Reece Jordan won the junior patterns and got Bronze for sparring. Saskia Baylis won the junior girls patterns and got bronze for sparring whilst Jenna Akerman won the junior black belt sparring and got silver for patterns. Clinton Gillett, the club instructor won the veteran 3rd-4th degree black belt patterns and got silver for sparring.
Two Bungay black belts also won competitor of the day awards which was a fantastic achievement for them and the club as only 6 were awarded in total; Logan Bedingfield won the adult trophy and gained silver in the lightweight black belt sparring and Sophie Akerman won the junior award as well as bronze medals for both sparring and patterns in the junior black belt girls’ division.
Other notable achievements were Sam Saunders winning double silvers in the junior girls’ sparring and patterns, Milo Phillips winning silver for patterns and bronze for sparring in the junior males, Oliver Baylis winning Bronze for both patterns and sparring in the lightweight male category and Nidge Bedingfield winning silver in the veteran male black belt 1st -2nd degree sparring. Sue Bedingfield won bronze for veteran black belt ladies’ patterns and Oliver Watts won bronze in the pee wee sparring to round off the medal tally.
Several other competitors narrowly missed out on awards sometimes to the tightest of margins, Adam, Claire and Martin Sloan all achieved 4th placings as did, Lianne Hatcher and Adam Casey. Kylan Taylor, Craig Eastern, Kal Bedingfield, Daniel and Mitchell Docherty all fought really well but lost out in earlier rounds. Mickey Gillett acted as a superb chief supporter as well as driving the mini bus there and back.
Master Oldham 8th Degree and president of the GTUK singled the club out for praise in his closing address saying that there was real Taekwondo spirit and that everyone demonstrated great humility in success and defeat.
The club is gearing up for the summer so if you want to come along and try out this Olympic martial art contact Clinton Gillett at Bungay High School on 01986 892140 or check out the details on www.bungay-taekwondo.co.uk

Getting away from it all doesn't have to mean saying goodbye to friends and family... go on holiday with a group and give the traditional house party a modern twist!
With its wide open spaces, beautiful beaches and fun attractions for all, Suffolk is the perfect setting for a self-catering holiday – and the county has a wealth of large cottages to accommodate groups of every size. Whether you're planning a family gathering, an old-friends reunion, a special celebration or a short seasonal break, Suffolk is big on choice where big cottages are concerned.
As the credit crunch continues to bite, sharing a large holiday cottage with a group of other people is a great way to keep costs down. It's also a fantastic way to reduce some of the workload usually associated with a self-catering break – shopping, cooking and even childcare are less of a chore when there are other people to help.
Ask everyone to bring along a favourite recipe that they'll cook one evening, let the children take charge of breakfast, or choose a theme for a special 'last night' supper – fun is never far away when there's a house full of people!
